Inleiding - Introduction

Community Based Development is een benadering van samenwerking waarbij onafhankelijke partners met een gezamenlijk doel hun ontwikkeling om tot dat doel te komen met elkaar delen als een gemeenschap. Dit deel van de Nuts Wiki beschrijft uitgangspunten, ervaringen, onderzoek, patronen en praktijken van Community Based Development met als doel deelnemers in de Nuts community in staat te stellen deze principes toe te passen in deze en andere samenwerkingen.

In dit boek formuleren we de uitgangspunten van Community Based Development, zoals de achtergrond, aannames en de basis van Community Based Development in onderzoek en praktijk.

1. Community Based Development benadert de werkelijkheid open, inclusief, en integraal. Het houdt rekening met verschillende perspectieven op de werkelijkheid zoals cultuur, systeem, persoonlijke belevingswereld, gedrag, ontwikkeling, bewustzijn en accepteert dat ieder perspectief aanvullende waarde heeft en tegelijk beperkt is.
2. Community Based Development werkt goed in een omgeving die complex van aard is.
3. Een community bestaat uit verschillende autonome en onafhankelijke deelnemers.
4. Een community is meer dan de som van de delen en ontstaat als een emergente eigenschap van de community samenwerking.
5. Community Based Development kan gezien worden als een vorm van dialogische organisatie ontwikkeling.
6. Community Based Development maakt zoveel mogelijk gebruik van al bestaande organisatie en communicatie vormen die passen bij een complexe, emergente omgeving en bij dialogische organisatie-ontwikkeling.
7. De metafoor "organisatie is improvisatie" is een goede manier om samenhang te geven aan de bovenstaande uitgangspunten en helpt bij het concretiseren van deze uitgangspunten naar patronen en praktijken.

Community Based Development is an approach to collaboration in which independent partners with a common goal share their development journey to achieve that goal as a community. This section of the Nuts Wiki describes the principles, experiences, research, patterns, and practices of Community Based Development with the aim of enabling participants in the Nuts community to apply these principles in this and other collaborations.

In this book, we formulate the principles of Community Based Development, including its background, assumptions, and the foundation of Community Based Development in research and practice.

1. Community-Based Development approaches reality openly, inclusively, and comprehensively. It takes into account various perspectives on reality, such as culture, system, personal worldviews, behavior, development, consciousness, and acknowledges that each perspective offers complementary value while also having its limitations.
2. Community-Based Development works well in a complex environment.
3. A community consists of different autonomous and independent participants.
4. A community is more than the sum of its parts and emerges as a property of community collaboration.
5. Community-Based Development can be seen as a form of dialogic organizational development.
6. Community-Based Development maximizes the use of existing organizational and communication forms that align with a complex, emergent environment and dialogic organizational development.
7. The metaphor "organization is improvisation" is a useful way to provide coherence to the above principles and helps to make these principles tangible through patterns and practices.
